Covid-19 Pantry Regulations
The Milton Community Food Pantry cares deeply for our clients and volunteers. We want everyone to feel safe while fulfilling our mission to provide food to local residents in need. Facts about the COVID-19 Pandemic are constantly changing, and we are trying to be as responsive as we can be. In light of recent developments regarding the COVID-19 Pandemic, we are instituting the following changes at the Food Pantry until further notice.
1We are preparing bags of food for each family. For everyone’s safety, pantry participants will no longer be entering the church to wait and there will be no personal shopping inside the pantry because of our close quarters.
Participants will be asked to check in through the Pantry window that opens onto the parking area.
Pre-packaged grocery bags will be passed out to you through the other Pantry window. Volunteers will not be able to bring bags to your car.
If you walk to the Pantry, we encourage you to bring a folding grocery cart to carry your food home. We do have some new carts that we are making available to our participants. Please let us know if you need one when you check in.
The Pantry will only be open on the following dates from 9:15am to 11:15am:
Saturday, August 15; Saturday, August 29; Saturday, September 12; Saturday, September 26
Please note: We are not accepting Food Donations at this time. If you wish to make a financial donation, a check can be sent to The Milton Community Food Pantry, c/o Parkway Methodist Church, 158 Blue Hills Parkway, Milton, MA 02186.
